You might freeze your card if it's been misplaced, or if you've noticed a payment you don't recognise. You can freeze it — and unfreeze it again — quickly and securely, in the Ben web app or the mobile app.
Freeze or unfreeze in the web app
Log in to Ben and open Wallet.
Select the card you want to freeze.
Select Freeze card on the card itself. To unfreeze, follow the same steps and select Unfreeze card.
Freeze or unfreeze in the mobile app
Log in to the Ben app and open Wallet.
Select the card you want to freeze or unfreeze.
Use the button shown directly beneath the card.
If your card shows as inactive but you didn't freeze it
A card can also be blocked by an admin or your card provider — for example, on suspected fraud. This is different from a freeze you set yourself, and you won't be able to unfreeze it from the app. Contact support and we'll look into it.
If your card was lost or stolen
If you froze the card because it was lost, stolen, or used suspiciously, contact support via chat and we'll help you order a replacement.
