Ben cards renew automatically before they expire, so you don't need to do anything to keep your card working. Here's what to expect.
Your card renews automatically
When your card is close to its expiry date, Ben renews it for you. You'll be told when a renewed card is on its way, and a new physical card is posted to the delivery address saved for your card.
Keep using your current card until then
You can keep using your current card until it expires, or until you activate your new one — whichever comes first. There's no gap where you can't pay.
Activate your renewed card when it arrives
When your new physical card arrives, activate it before using it. See "How do I activate my physical Ben card?".
Your card details will change
Most of the time your renewed card keeps the same card number, and only its expiry date and security code (CVV) change. Occasionally, though, the renewed card comes with a new card number as well. Either way, once your renewed card is active, check its details and update them wherever you've saved your card — with online merchants and in your digital wallets (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet) — so your payments keep working.
