1. Which details get updated during renewal?
Only the expiry date and CVV are updated; the PAN remains the same.When using the renewed card, these updated details will need to be entered where required.
2. When exactly does the renewal happen?
Renewal timings are generally:
Physical cards: ~30 days before expiry
Virtual cards: ~1 day before expiry
3. Could renewal affect payments (e.g., on the last day of the month)?
Physical cards: the existing card remains active until the renewed card is activated, so in-flight transactions are not impacted.
Virtual cards: renewal is instant, and in-flight transactions are unaffected.
4. Apple Pay / Google Pay updates
Any wallet tokens will automatically update when expiry/CVV changes. You do not need to take any action, as the token will link to the renewed card seamlessly.
