HRIS Integrations

To make the most of Ben, it’s important to have accurate, up-to-date information about your employees on the platform.

There are two ways to update your data in Ben. You can manually import data (one by one or through CSV) or sync Ben with your HRIS via an API integration.

We strongly recommend an API integration as it will allow you to take full advantage of the Ben platform. With this, you’ll be able to:

  • Automate the joiners/leavers process

  • Ensure accurate payroll & engagement reporting

API Integration

Kombo is a Unified API company that Ben is integrated with. Unified APIs normalise hundreds of APIs into one data model, streamlining the work of connecting to multiple systems within a similar software category such as HR and payroll, accounting, ticketing, or file storage. More details on how Kombo works can be found here. Ben can import all your employee data directly via Kombo.

Syncing Your User Data on Ben

To set up your integration, it’s done in a few simple steps:

  • Head to your platform. Login > Navigate to the top right corner, and click "Switch to Admin View".

  • Enter your Integrations tab under Company Management.

  • Click on Integrate HR System.

  • Find your HRIS in the Kombo menu and go through the flow to add your HRIS.

Once you have this setup, it will go into a ‘pending’ state. Our Integrations team will check the data shared to make sure it's pulling through the correct list of employees. We’ll then add any filtering (as needed) and once we have received your sign-off on the data received, we will then set the integration live.
