Check out how to exclude certain employees from the HRIS integration on the admin portal so they have access to Ben for longer.

Admins now have the ability to exclude employees from the HRIS integration on the admin portal, which as a result will allow them to have access to benefits for longer.

There are a few ways to action this on the admin portal. Check them out below:

When adding the employees manually:

When adding employees manually, you can uncheck the 'include in HRIS daily sync' box as seen below:

When bulk uploading users:

When bulk uploading users, you can select if these users will be included in the sync as per the screenshot below:

When changing it for an individual user:

If you want to do this for an individual employee, go to the 'People' tab, locate the employee with their name or email address, click into their profile and uncheck the 'Include user in the HRIS sync' on the slider as per the screenshot below:

Important to note: If you choose to exclude these users from the HRIS sync, when it comes time to deactivate them, you will need to ensure this is done manually via the Ben platform. This can be done by following the 'Deactivating a user profile within the platform' article here. If this is not done manually, the employee will remain active on Ben and will have access to their benefits.
