How to update your personal details

Where to update your personal details for your Ben profile on desktop and the mobile app.

To make sure your benefits are set up correctly, it’s important that we have the most accurate and up-to-date information for everyone on the platform.

For example, with insurance policies, we often need details such as your date of birth, gender, and home address to provide the most accurate pricing. Depending on your location, additional information may also be required.

It’s equally important to let us know if your circumstances change—such as a new address—so we can ensure all documents and communications reach you without delay.

There are a couple of ways we can gather updates to any details:

Automatically, via your HR system:

Ben can be set up to receive information automatically, and this is usually done through linking Ben with the HR system your employer uses.

Once this is set up, we will be sent any updated information shortly after it's updated in the source system.

If you have data you need to update and you're not sure if your company has this set up, reach out to your HR team for clarification.

Manually, on your Ben profile via desktop:

To update your information via desktop:

  1. Login to your account and click your profile picture in the top left.

  2. Click on 'Profile'.

  3. From there, you are brought to a new page where you can edit your personal details, by selecting 'Edit' in the top right corner.

  1. Login to your account via the app and click your profile picture in the top left.

  2. You should be brought to a new page, from there select 'Personal details'.

  3. You will then have a choice to update either your 'Basic Information' (Such as preferred name, date of birth, martial status etc) or 'Contact Information' (Such as your phone number, email or address).
